I am always looking for ways to save money. Right now, ‘budget friendly’ are my two favorite words! One of my goals this year is to DO MORE using LESS money. It may seem like a huge task but I’ve seen many people do it and there is no reason why I shouldn’t be able to accomplish this goal. In this post I’m sharing my Quick Guide: Affordable Fashion Tips!
Thrift Stores
A great way to save money is by doing some thrift shopping. You can find gently used items for less. Sometimes they offer apparel that has never been worn! I found the tassel earrings and dress that I am wearing at a thrift store called Buffalo Exchange! You can also find high end consignment shops that have luxury pieces for the low!
Sell Your Clothes
Another way that you can save money is by selling your clothes that you have grown out of or no longer want. You can sell items at thrift stores or through online shopping apps like Poshmark and Facebook Marketplace.
Buy Versatile Pieces
One of a kind items are great but I just love pieces that you can style with almost anything! Versatile pieces are items like a pair black heels, a plain white t-shirt, a pair of khakis, or a navy blue blazer. These type of pieces are also great because you can wear the same outfit different ways and through every season.
Online Purchasing vs. In Store Purchasing
The golden rule when shopping for apparel online is knowing your measurements. I have a handy tape measure that I keep at home to stay on top of knowing my size. Most online stores sizing is different but you can confirm which size is best for you by looking at the sizing chart. Once you master the measurements, you are good to go! I enjoy shopping online because most of the time, the price is lower or you can find ‘online only’ sales that are not offered with in store purchasing. Also, the selection online is always more than what the store provides.
I hope this quick guide helps you like it has been helping me! Of course, saving money always means you can spend more on what you really want to buy!
