You guessed it, this is me trying to predict tomorrow’s weather!! It seems as though the fall weather in Texas has taken a weird turn. Texas is currently experiencing April showers. But should we really be surprised? This is the state where you can experience all four seasons in one week! Recently it has been sunny one minute and then hailstorms the next. There are a lot of misconceptions about Texas (you can read about them HERE) and one thing you need to know if you plan to visit, is that the weather is always changing. So what do you do if you are someone traveling to Texas? I’ve come up with some guidelines for what to pack for Texas in the Fall!
You’ll never go wrong with these three words: layers, layers, layers! Fall weather is supposed to have a slight brisk or chill to it. It should be cold enough to make some warm pumpkin spice. In Texas you can experience fall weather one day, then the next day it could be hot enough to take a dip in the pool! What I like to do is wear a Tunic that is thin enough to keep me cool if in case I want to roll up my sleeves. If by chance the weather acts normal and gets chilly – then I’ll wear a Light Weight Infinity Scarf to keep me warm. I enjoy including Feather Earrings into my fall outfit. To me, they symbolize the changing seasons – LITERALLY.
I like to keep a good pair of jeans for Texas in the fall. If it gets too hot, you can combine them with a t-shirt and sandals for a ‘cooler’ feel. You’ll want to make sure to pack a pair of boots. Whether they are leather or rainboots, make sure they are high enough to cover your ankles in case it gets cold or if there is a slight chance of rain. I’m currently wearing one of my favorite brands Chooka Rain Boots – they are perfect for a rainy fall day 🙂
Pack a versatile watch and shades in case it gets sunny (believe me, it will). Some of my favorite fall accessories come from MVMT Watches. My black Boulevard 38mm pairs perfectly with every outfit and my Bronze Gradient Sunglasses fit right in with fall colors.
